Damon visited the Dwyer & Michaels Morning Show at 97X at the Quad Cities, IL today. The interview lasted almost 2 hours and featured lots of Q&A about Damon’s career. It also included a live acoustic performance of “And Fools Shine On” and, for the first time anywhere, spins of two tracks from the upcoming solo EP, Echo: “Dead” and “Nobody Usin'”.
“I’ve known the guys for quite some time, and they are music junkies just like all of us. They’ve always been incredibly supportive of my music and I was stoked to finally visit their show in person.” (Damon has done several phone interviews with them over the years). “The new songs sounded beyond amazing on the radio and the feedback from the staff and the listeners was a blast for me to receive. Can’t wait to finally get this new stuff out there”.
The interview marks Damon’s visit to Illinois this weekend for acoustic shows in Pekin tonight at The Twisted Spoke, and in Moline tomorrow night at Rascals Live. Kudos to Kenny Bailey for organizing the interview. And for the Starbucks!!!!
